Ask Steven

We store account information and question usage counts. Your question and recent conversation are sent to our AI provider to generate a response. The conversation is held in your browser tab; we do not save its text in our email marketing system.

When you create an Ask Steven account, we add your name and email to its educational email audience and record the applicable signup terms version. After email confirmation, we may store broad educational interest tags and dates associated with questions to help select relevant articles. We do not use these tags to infer diagnoses. Our email system does not receive your question text.

Unsubscribing globally or leaving the Ask Steven email list stops future topic tracking for email recommendations without affecting your account access. You can request removal of previously stored interests by contacting us.

Website offer testing

We use a first-party cookie lasting up to 90 days to keep the same promotional banner visible to your browser. We count banner views and clicks and may link these with your signup, account confirmation, first answered question and later purchases to compare our offers. This testing does not store question text. Clearing your cookies resets your browser assignment.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the site and fulfil orders, and only as needed to do so, or where required by law.

Your choices
